Swim Day

Yesterday it was HOT. HOT for anybody's standards. So, we went for a swim with our two friends Melissa and Fernando, at this reservoir called Lac de la Haute-Sure. It was packed with people, all doing their own thing, not bothering anyone else. It was free of charge and a free-for-all in terms of what you could do. Grill, scuba-dive, float in your giant inflatable boat, play with your dogs, wear matching swim suits, and bring your parrot. It was surprisingly quiet and mellow. The water was green and clear and the perfect temperature.

Melissa, keeping out of the sun.

Back to Lux

This ad campaign makes me chuckle and cringe at the same time. They promote USA by showing Elvis impersonators, Beauty Queens, etc. It's so bizarre. I guess it's very American but it's not the source of our national pride, I hope.

A tree that had grown up through a bldg and out the roof. I loved this!

Very cool enamel doorknob in our new neighborhood.

The unknown plum tree in our current neighborhood. Anybody know what kind it is? the plums are tiny, the size of cherry tomatoes. yellow to red flesh inside.

Dinnertime in the kitchen.
