Blood oranges are in the stores and they might be my all-time favorite fruit. They are so bizarre - red oranges?? - but so beautiful and delicious. Go out and get some if you can. They are pretty cheap here. I was taking a photo of sliced orange for another blog of mine (stay tuned ...) where I continue my marveling at how cool these fruits are and how it's even cooler that they are in season in the middle of winter, when you really need such a sun-shine-brilliant food.
Coincidentally there was a man outside shoveling snow from the sidewalk. Such a perfect contrast - winter and warmth - all in one image.
