Other Things That Are DIfferent

We haven't taken any big trips this weekend  so here are some photos of things that are different here, in our apt and neighborhood.

Take the elegant packaging of the potatoes. Maine should do something like this. This bag makes the potatoes looks so special and precious and the photo of the potato plants in bloom is so pretty. Reminds us where the "apples of the earth" come from.

Popcorn is self-serve, at least at the theatre we went to last night. we saw "Hellboy II" which was magnificent. THe man who did Pan's Labyrinth directed and wrote the screenplay for it. the special effects and characters were amazing, beautiful, creative and unexpected.

The postmen deliver mail using these cute little yellow carts.

We talk to friends and family via Skype - like Jen and her beautiful little girl, Sabine.

We don't have much room in our refrigerator for tall bottles of wine so we store them on our balcony.

We're doing laundry Euro-style, without a dryer. so that means our living room often has a load hanging on a drying rack. Momma Kitty is probably under there somewhere, sleeping by the radiators.
