European Vacation Part II: Luxembourg

After spending several fabulous days in sunny Paris we hopped in our rental mini-van and drove the 4 hours to Luxembourg. Here it was springy too, though not as sunny or warm. That didn't stop Carly from making a "crocus angel". kidding–no crocuses were harmed during this photoshoot!

We rented 3 Luxembourg city bikes so the boys could get some "speed" in for the day.

The next day we went to see the castle at Vianden, which is about 45 minutes north of Luxembourg City. Carly was a great sport and sat in the very back of our car so we could avoid driving the big van.

A vintage poster of Vianden ...

... site for filming such classics as "George and the Dragon" starring Patrick Swayze! I read another film "Shadows of Dracula" starring John Malkovitch was also filmed there. Never heard of it.

Standing in front of a description of one of the battles that took place at Vianden, during WW II. It was one of the last parts of Luxembourg to be liberated by the Allies.
